Description

HGU-55/P flight helmet shell. Size large. As you can see, this helmet was once a USAF helmet modified for use with dual visors, and equipped for EEU-2A/P nuke goggles. The hole at the top was for the wiring from the bracket holding the goggles, to come down inside the shell and out the rubber grommet along with the CX-4708 comm. cord.
Looks like they drilled into the edgeroll when making the bottom hole for the dual visor tracks.
