2 inch Lone Star Nail heads, unfinished cast iron.  Decorative rustic star design nail heads to use for shutters, doors, gates, garage doors, frames, furniture restoration and many more projects.  Volume priced. There are about 12 to 14 star nails per pound.
These are not finished. They are raw cast iron and there will be slight areas of visible rust.
Approximate size: Nail head is about 2 inches, stem is about 1 inch. (These are not machine-made and may vary slightly.)

Please note:  These are raw metal and not finished.  These are meant for the user to finish to the color/style of their choice. Since these are raw metal, there will be areas of rust visible on the product.  This does not affect the quality of the product.  It is a natural process for raw metal.
Slight variations will occur from piece to piece.  The stems are individually welded to the head. These are handcrafted. Each one is hand forged. Please do not expect all to be perfectly centered.  These are best used when wanting to restore or recreate a rustic project.   They may be rusty, bent a bit or off-center.  If you are looking for factory-produced nail heads, these would not be suitable.
When applying these to your project, we suggest drilling a pilot hole first.  Tap in with a rubber mallet.  If you are going to glue or weld these, you can snip the stems off.

They are sturdy, but mainly decorative for accents, furniture (not furniture tacking), frames, doors, trunks, window frames, dressers, head boards, mirrors....
