    Description

2 inch clavos Hammered round head design. Clavos are great for many different types of projects ~ shutters, doors, gates, fences, frames, trim for woodworking crafts...
Hand-forged clavos are rusty and the stems can be off centered. They are not machine made.
These clavos are sold bulk priced by the pound.  Each pound will have an average of 17 clavos. Use the top pull-down menu to choose how many pounds you need for your project.  Feel free to contact us if you need more than the quantities listed.
Approximate size is 2 inch diameter. Stem / shaft is 7/8 inch.  These are hand-forged and the sizes are approximate and may vary slightly.
These clavos are raw metal (not-finished or painted).  There will be slight areas or visible rust which is normal for this type of product and does not affect the usability.  These clavos are meant for you to paint to the color of your choice. Spray paints work best and are easiest to use.  If you are going to use these clavos outdoors, we recommend that you use a rust inhibiting spray paint. (Such as a Rustoleum type brand.)
Do not hammer in directly. We recommend that you drill a small pilot hole before using a rubber mallet to hammer these in. These are decorative accents for shutters, doors, gates, fences, furniture (not furniture tacking), frames, trunks, window frames, dressers...
If you are looking for nails that will be exactly the same from piece to piece, these are not for you.  No two are alike. They are filled with old world rustic charm. The stems are welded directly into the bottom of the nailhead.  Some will be bent and not all will be centered exactly.  These are not machine made.
You will not receive the exact ones pictured, but those of equal or greater quality.
