).
Barry Grant modified floats are used to stop fuel slosh in the bowls from interfering with float drop and needle & seat opening.
This float is for
secondary
bowls and is popular in
drag racing applications with sideways mounted tunnel rams
as it can be mounted towards the rear.  Providing this additional clearance on the float stops the fuel from pushing up on one side of the float and trying to close the needle & seat.
Works for Demon, Claw, and Holley Carburetors.
