You can readily see this echinoid's five-fold symmetry and some of the petal details.
This is a relatively rare echinoid in the fossil record.
Although this fossil was recovered with some damage, the "test" or shell of the urchin is in
pretty good shape overall and the majority of it is intact. You can make out important details that help with ID.
It would be a good study specimen and it is much more affordable than a perfect specimen.

This hefty fossil seems pretty durable and is safe to hold and examine.
This symmetrical specimen measures approximately 2" in diameter.
It sits about 1-1/2" tall.
It weighs approximately 152 grams.
