Description
Unlike the 70s- look El Palomar pottery we often see ( paisley-esque florals and birds in grey-blue/green/taupe tones) , these earlier plates exhibit simple, stark cobalt blue handpainting on the signature grey-hued stoneware. Each features a central visual of a hare, surrounded by simple, almost Quimper-like patterning. Each is marked El Palomar, and many also bear an animal icon signifying the specific artisan who crafted them. Most likely 1960s era, these collectible pieces can be used as table ware or simply displayed.
However you choose to incorporate them, these handpainted collectors items will be a stunning addition to your rustic, Mission, Spanish or provincial home.
