    What is Talavera in brief?
    Talavera is a style of pottery within a larger category of ceramics called Majolica, referring to any earthenware involving handmade pottery, ceramics and art. The rich Talavera pottery heritage was introduced to Mexico by Spanish guild artisans of the Colonial period. Commonly called "majolica" in Spain, Mexican Talavera draws its name from the 16th century Spanish pottery center, Talavera de la Reina. The demand for authentic Mexican Talavera continues to this day and can be seen throughout the United States, most notably in the Southwest.
