    Product Description
These exceptional antique George III sterling silver second course dishes have a plain circular rounded form with a sunken circular central well.
The well of each silver dish is plain and unembellished.
The raised rounded border of each dish is ornamented with a contemporary bright cut engraved coat of arms above the motto 'Pie Repone Te' - Place yourself piously*.
The rims of these impressive antique sterling silver dishes are embellished with an applied gadroon decorated border.
The underside of each dish is ornamented with the impressive contemporary bright cut engraved initials 'AN' below a coronet.
These fine and impressive antique second course dishes were crafted by the renowned and collectable London silversmith Robert Sharp.
    * This motto and heraldic coat of arms pertains to the Pierreponts family.
    Condition
These antique silver dishes are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
There are surface knife scratches to the wells in keeping with the age, as to be expected with such pieces.
The bright cut engraved decoration is very crisp and the applied decoration is very sharp.
Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each dish are all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of Georgian silverware.
