Condition: Condition is Excellent with no cracks bends or breaks. A few small edge dings from years of use. Good clear beveled glass mirror no sickness or ghosting to the mirror, with only 3 - 4 edge spots where the silvering is lost otherwise nice and crisp clear. The Mirror does have a little rattle at the bottom of the handle where perhaps a small bit of the plaster inside has broken lose, but small by the feel of it.

Description

This is an Estate Fresh old Art Nouveau Hand Mirror that is classic Nouveau style made by the Legendary Gorham Silver Co. It boasts a Beautiful Repousee' Wreath of Roses with Filigree and Leaves on the mirror back and down the handle. The Sterling Silver work is big typical Art Nouveau Flowers and Bud heads, all of this with Deep Heavy Relief or Reposee' work. The Mirror itself is Beveled Glass and its crystal clear with no shadowing or ghosting in the mirror or glass though there are a couple very small edge spots of Silvering loss, but minimal as the pics show. Its Really beautiful. The mirror side edge is marked Sterling and has the remnants of the Gorham Hall marks, which match up the Hallmarks in my last photo. Gorham is possibly one of the top sterling Silver MFG in the country, maybe the world! Its just wonderful. The mirror back does have a monogram of the letter NVL perhaps, but they are so stylized they could /almost be anyones initials. The mirror is 9 7/8" long and 5 3/8" in diam at the top.
