    Description

    These are two beautiful plates, approximately 8 1/4" diameter.
    Stoneware with elaborate reliefs. Both plates were designed by Barbara Linley Adams and bear her initials on front and back.
    One of the plates is titled "Santa's Helpers" and shows two kittens playing with Christmas ornaments. Holly garland around the rim. This is the Christmas plate for 1978.
    The second plate is titled "Tenderness" and shows a mother deer and a fawn. Floral border around the rim. This is the Mother's Day plate for 1979.
    Both plates are the first editions of the series, limited to 10,000 pieces each. Made by the Poole Pottery in England and accordingly marked and numbered (#8980 and #3452 respectively).
    In excellent condition, no chips, no cracks.
