2.9" fossil Sea Urchin from Sakaraha, Madagascar.  The top side of this natural fossil has been polished to show the detailed inner plate structure.  This Sea Urchin lived during the mid-Jurassic period about 160 million years ago.  It is a Clypeus species Sea Urchin.  A beautiful fossil specimen for display, collection, and study.
